Do I Have to Get Naked?

Wondering if you have to get naked for a boudoir photo session? It’s one of our Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) and the answer is: No, not at all! What’s most important is that you feel confident and comfortable. Beautiful, sexy boudoir photography doesn’t depend on full nudity. The right lighting, pose, lingerie and facial expression can create powerful, sexy images. Implied nudity — where a photograph is suggestive of nudity but not revealing — can be equally compelling.

That being said, roughly 75 percent of our clients choose to bare all for their Traditional Boudoir Photography photo shoot, sometimes known as “Nude Boudoir,” as well as when exploring related genres such as Fine Art Nude Photography, Glamour/Pin-Up Nude Photography and Contemporary Erotica Photography. The amount of skin you show is always your choice. Nudity can be beautiful, artistic and sensual, but if it isn’t for you, don’t worry…you can still create a compelling set of boudoir imagery.
