The Process, Step-by-Step

Use this form to let us know what you’re looking for in your photo shoot. Any information you submit will be kept strictly confidential. We’ll provide you with detailed information about our packages and a no-obligation estimate for your shoot.

Every shoot is different, customized to our clients’ preferences, so prior consultation helps be sure we understand what you’re looking for and walk you through the process. We often speak with our clients by phone and/or meet in person ahead of time to review examples of what they’re looking for. Using this form, you can send us sample photos and/or links you find in our portfolio or elsewhere that you might like to recreate during our photo shoot, which is especially helpful for us in preparing for your shoot.

We work around our clients’ busy schedules. We’re happy to shoot in the morning, afternoon, evening or late night, weekdays, weekends and most holidays. If you have a deadline, such as a wedding, anniversary or birthday, please give yourself plenty of time in advance. We recommend a minimum of one week. Add at least one additional week if you plan to order a printed product, such as a photo book.

Once you select a date/time for the shoot, you’ll receive your invoice and our Photography Services Agreement which you can review and e-sign online. A 50% retainer deposit is required upon receipt. Once received, we’ll book the studio time and confirm your shoot. (We can’t confirm your shoot until we receive your deposit.) You’ll find a payment button at the top of your online invoice. We’ve prepared a short guide to help you prepare for your photo shoot. For photo shoots in our studio, please see studio information and directions. For hotel, Airbnb, home outdoor and location shoots, we’ll coordinate those details well in advance.

Your balance payment is due after your photo shoot, prior to delivery of proofs and final images.

Shortly after  your photo shoot we’ll provide you with a link to your private, online gallery of low-resolution, watermarked proof images for you to review. All imagery is delivered securely online via our secure server. You can select your favorite images for fine-scale editing and delivery at full resolution, suitable for high-quality printing. We’ll send you a customized proof selection tool that allows you to easily select the shots you want and provide any special instructions/requests you might have (e.g., color vs. black and white, cropping, etc.) See Accessing Your Photos for more information.

We’ll deliver your final, edited high-resolution images shortly after your submission of your selections online via our secure server. Your final images will be full resolution with no watermarks.

We offer photo books, prints, calendars and other printed products through our partner photo lab based in New York. Once you select the images you want included in your photo book, we’ll work with you and get your approval of a draft/mockup. You photo book will be delivered to you directly from the lab.
